Delta Dental Coverage Availability & Fees

Delta Dental offers a variety of plans, each of which is designed to meet different needs and financial considerations. We recommend that you carefully review the specific terms of your policy in order to understand the coverage available to you.

In the meantime, here are some general notes on the benefits that are often available through Delta Dental:

  • Preventive care, such as routine exams, cleanings, and diagnostic X-rays, often receives up to 100% coverage.
  • Basic restorative procedures, including tooth-colored fillings and extractions, may be covered up to 80%.
  • Major restorative treatments, such as crowns, dentures, and certain oral surgeries (including some of the services offered in our practice), are frequently up to 50% covered.
  • Dental implant coverage may be available with select Delta Dental policies. If your plan covers dental implants, the coverage rate is likely to be around 50%.

It is also important to note that your plan may enforce an annual maximum, which is the total amount Delta Dental will pay for approved services within a given year. In appropriate circumstances, major treatments can be scheduled across different calendar years, allowing you to take advantage of two annual maximums rather than only one.
