I am a regular customer and I am always pleased with their patient care. I have had fillings and a crown. My husband also is a patient and they are kind, caring and open/honest. Top notch. Highly recommend.

FAQs

Below you’ll find our answers to some frequently asked questions. You’re always welcome to call our office directly if you prefer – these FAQs are simply for your convenience! Give them a readthrough if you’d like. Who knows? Someone else may have already voiced the question that’s on your mind.

How can I find affordable dental implants in Richardson?

A great place to start is to search for dentists that are in-network with your dental insurance provider. Though dental insurance doesn’t typically cover the full cost of a dental implant treatment, your plan may help offset your expenses by covering the crown. Our team would be happy to review your dental insurance plan and help you navigate your benefits!

If you don’t have access to dental insurance, instead look to see if the dentist accepts CareCredit financing or has any special offers. At Richardson Oral Surgery Center, we can help patients apply for little-to-no interest CareCredit payment plans, and are currently offering free exams, X-rays, and CBCT scans. Please give us a call and ask us how we can help you save money!

What level of education is required to be a dentist?

First, a student has to obtain a bachelor's degree – typically in a science or medical field. Then they have to continue on to dental school to earn either a Doctor of Dental Medicine or a Doctor of Dental Sciences. Their studies will usually include 3 years of classroom and hands-on learning.

After that, a dentist is considered qualified to practice in the US! Though many continue to hone their skills through continuing education and special advanced training courses. Dr. Ahn, for example, has completed extensive dental implant training, and is a proud member of both the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Can I receive sedation for my treatment?

Absolutely! In fact, we’re fortunate enough to have a board-certified anesthesiologist on staff. Dr. Cooper is qualified to administer IV sedation and general anesthesia, so we can help patients feel more at ease during their treatments. If you’re interested in our sedation services, please give us a call before scheduling your appointment. We’ll help you determine which option is best for you and your smile.

What advanced technology do you have in Richardson?

We value precision and comfort here at Richardson Oral Surgery Center, and have quite a few devices that can really enhance the treatment experience! Two of our favorites are the soft tissue laser and KaVo cone beam CT scanner.

A laser might not sound very gentle, but rest assured, our tool is nothing like the destructive beams you might see supervillains wielding on TV. A soft tissue laser enables us to reshape and treat your gums without using pokey instruments and promotes a speedy recovery. You’ll find that it’s quite comfortable and non-invasive.

You can think of our KaVo CBCT scanner as a really fancy X-ray. With this machine, Dr. Ahn can get an incredibly accurate view of your sinuses, jawbone, and facial nerves in just under a minute! The result? Far more precise surgical planning that promotes smooth treatment.
